Criminal Injuries

If you have been the victim of a crime of violence you may be entitled to compensation through the Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority.

The Criminal Injuries Compensation Authority compensates victims of assaults.

If you are a victim you need to ensure that the police are told as quickly as practicable about the incident and that you fully cooperate with the police.

Any criminal injuries application must be made within a period of two years from the date of the incident.
