Public Liability

An accident in public can take place in many different ways. Examples are slipping in a supermarket or on a path or other public footway. The shop owner or occupier can be responsible for that accident. They have a duty to ensure that any path or walkway is free of obstruction or spillages.

If you have had an accident in a public place you should make sure that it is recorded with the owner/occupier.
